The Old West created the stock horse, demanding a tough, enduring animal that could go for miles and herd the vast numbers of cattle in a bygone era. Not only was an athletic horse required, but one that could be completely trained in carrying out the everyday tasks of ranch life.

The Chaps Shoot Out is BACK for it's Fourth Year with an exciting NEW FORMAT!
BOXING CHAPS SHOOT OUT
The TOP Riders from each of the eligible Boxing Classes held Saturday July 26 will be invited back for a COW WORK ONLY Shoot Out to win a Gift Certificate for a custom pair of show chaps! Top riders = those that place in the payout from each qualifying horse show class.
Eligible ARCHA Classes: Limited Non Pro Boxing, Youth Boxing 13 & Under, Youth Boxing 18 & Under, Ranch Hand Boxing, Buckaroo Boxing *in the event of cross entries, a rider may only qualify to the shoot out once.
BOXING ONLY - Highest Score WINS!
SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER at SILVER SLATE STEAK HOUSE
Register with your entries for a Roast Beef Dinner Event after the conclusion of the Chaps Shoot Out. Tickets are $40 + GST each and include a fantastic dinner put on by Silver Slate Steak House. If you would like to attend, and not showing, please email your Dinner Request to entries@cowhorse.ca by Friday July 25 @ 6 pm.
